Join Toni as she shares highlights from the Mastering Diversity event, exploring cognitive and neurodiversity.
ACES in its Places
The Mastering Diversity event brought together an incredible line up of speakers who shared unique insights into the realms of cognitive diversity and inclusion. The feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the relevance and impact of the discussions that unfolded.
Lisa Brunt, founder of Crew Cymru and Future Focus, set the tone with her compelling presentation on the importance of understanding childhood trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Her expertise not only sparked conversations about the challenges faced by young people but also inspired many to consider how these topics intersect with cognitive diversity.
Transforming Adversity into Opportunity & Define Dyslexia
Toni Clarkstone, had the pleasure of addressing the topic of dyslexia, emphasizing that it is not a disadvantage but a different way of processing information. Challenging the stigma surrounding neurodiverse conditions, I encouraged attendees to reframe their understanding and see the unique strengths that individuals with dyslexia bring to the table.
Cognitive and Neurodiversity: Beyond the Labels
Julian John, CEO and Founder of Delsion Ltd, delivered a thought-provoking talk titled "Cognitive and Neurodiversity: Beyond the Labels." He tackled critical themes such as the barriers to inclusion and how conformity can stifle potential. Julian’s insights resonated deeply with the audience, inspiring us to explore pathways that lead to recognizing true potential within the workplace.
Unfortunately, Julian has not given permission to post his presentation, as it contains pictures of his children.
The synergy between our presentations created a dynamic dialogue about the importance of embracing cognitive diversity and creating inclusive environments for all individuals, regardless of their neurodiverse characteristics.
Overall, the event was a remarkable success, with attendees leaving motivated to advocate for change in their own organizations. The conversations sparked during the event promise to carry forward, encouraging ongoing collaboration and commitment to fostering inclusive spaces for everyone.
Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this important discussion! I am looking forward to seeing how these insights will be put into action within our communities and workplaces.
We are thrilled to announce that Toni Clarkstone Global Ltd is sponsoring this year’s Mastering Diversity Conference and Awards. Toni herself will be delivering an inspiring talk on "Turning Dyslexia into a Super Power." Additionally, she will lead an educational three-hour Cognitive & Neurodiversity force session.
